Attorney Jacob Biby recently obtained a $300,000 excess jury verdict in Garfield County (Enid) on behalf of a 31-year-old young lady who was injured when a 78-year-old man ran a red light in Enid. As a result of the collision, Jacob's client underwent two years of medical treatment before undergoing a multi-level neck fusion. As a result of the negligence, the young lady will have ongoing years of damages related to the defendant's negligence.
The defendant was insured by State Farm, and prior to trial State Farm offered $30,000. The defendant was covered by only a $250,000 liability policy. This verdict is known as an "excess verdict."
